Saruky is a Mexican artist and composer well known in the Friday Night Funkin' fandom for creating and assisting in many notable mods, and is now serving as a music producer and one of the co-directors for the official Friday Night Funkin' soundtrack.

Involvement

Saruky's involvement with Friday Night Funkin' began when he co-composed the song "Deathmatch" for the Friday Night Funkin': Corruption mod alongside another composer in the community named DatDavi. Afterwards, Saruky would be involved in other mods such as Vs. Impostor, Vs. Shaggy and Indie Cross. Saruky would then develop his own mod named Hotline 024 which gained major popularity in the community.

On the 15th of December, 2022, it would be revealed by ninjamuffin99 via an AMA on /funkg/ that someone from the community was recently hired to help work on the official game.[1] The day after, PhantomArcade would reveal in a tweet that he was "the one to nab em", and that he "just nabbed another".[2] While it is currently unknown who was hired first, both Saruky and fellow Friday Night Funkin' mod composer Saster were both revealed to be working for the official developers on the 30th of April, 2024.

Currently, Saruky has co-composed the ERECT remixes for Bopeebo, Fresh, Spookeez, South, Pico and Philly Nice alongside Kawai Sprite. He also solely composed Girlfriend's Song.

Trivia

  • Both Saruky's and Saster's involvement were accidentally leaked hours before the WeekEnd 1 update released due to an error with DistroKid uploading the Friday Night Funkin' OST Vol. 3 albums on streaming platforms earlier than intended.
  • Saruky currently has the most songs out of all the game's music producers, with 7 in total as of the WeekEnd 1 update; 6 of them are remixes, and 1 is an original song.
  • Saruky and Saster are so far the only confirmed composers from the Friday Night Funkin' mod community to have any official involvement with the game.
  • On the 31st of December, 2021, Saruky would upload his own take on the then-just-unveiled ERECT South,[3] which was uploaded by Kawai Sprite on the 29th of that same month. Most of the vocals from his fan remix are now used in the official version of ERECT South due to his co-composing the song with Kawai Sprite.
    • Sometime in early 2023, Saruky would unlist his fan remix of ERECT South on YouTube. While there is no confirmed reason, it was likely that, due to him officially joining the development team around that time, his remix had become a "leak" retroactively. Strangely, his fan remix of ERECT DadBattle was also unlisted around that same time, despite having no involvement in that remix, as Kawai Sprite is credited as the sole composer.
