Blazin' is the fourth and final track of WeekEnd 1 and the 26th track of Friday Night Funkin' overall. It was composed by Kawai Sprite and released on the 30th of April, 2024. It appears on Friday Night Funkin' OST Vol. 3.

The opponent for this track is Darnell.

Trivia

  • Blazin' was the only WeekEnd 1 song to not be entirely leaked ahead of the update's official release, as it had not yet been implemented when the leaked build was made.
    • However, it was officially teased in multiple ways, unlike the fully leaked tracks.
  • This song features a fist fight between Darnell and Pico.
  • Blazin' was used as the teaser theme for the update.
  • Blazin' is not initially included in the track listing for WeekEnd 1 in the Story Mode menu; the level must first be completed for the track to be revealed there.
  • This is the first song:
    • To consist only of the instrumental.
    • Where none of the characters are singing.
    • Where only one set of notes is shown.
    • To be hidden from a level's track listing in Story Mode before the level's completion.
  • Blazin' is the first and currently only song with a scroll speed greater than 3 in one of its difficulties.
  • The idles for Pico and Darnell are based on the idle poses of certain Street Fighter characters.[1] Darnell's pose seems to most closely resemble the shotos (Ryu, Ken, Akuma), while Pico's seems to most closely resemble Guile.
  • The ending of the song is different on the Volume 3 album than in-game.
  • On the 15th of December, 2022, during an AMA on /funkg/, ninjamuffin99 would reveal the name of the song earlier before its official release and hint at its playable status, stating: "teaser song i think maybe was BLAZIN, and if we pull it off right, u all will believe in us again once u see what we do with it...."[2]
  • According to a comment found in the game's source code, the middlescroll seen in this song is a one-time song gimmick for this track, and it will never be implemented as a feature.[3]
